How to Tell Your Story
An open invitation to share your gospel-shaped story
Every follower of Jesus has a story—a personal testimony of God’s work in your life. Sharing your story helps others see the hope, transformation, and ongoing work of Christ in real, everyday life.
As part of our summer series, Story Formed, where we highlight stories from people in our community, we are extending this invitation to everyone in our community. In participating you’re helping us share even more of what God is doing at The Park through the lives of those in our community.
Tell Your Story
- Creation – Your Beginning
Where do you come from? Who or what shaped you growing up?
Talk about your background, your family, early influences, and what gave you a sense of identity, belonging, or value. - Fall – Your Brokenness
When did things go wrong?
Share moments of struggle, pain, or distance from God. This could be because of your own choices or hurt caused by others. What made you aware of your need for something more? - Redemption – How Jesus Changed Everything
How did Jesus meet you?
Tell the story of how you came to know Jesus and what He has done in your life. How has the gospel—Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection—brought healing, freedom, or purpose to specific areas? Was there a particular person, maybe a friend or a leader, that was particularlly integral to your story of redemption? - Restoration – The Ongoing Work
What is God doing in your life right now?
Even though the story isn’t over, share how you’ve seen growth, hope, and healing. Where do you long to see more of God’s restoration in your life or in the world? How are you joining Him in making all things new?
Encouragement
- This is your story, shaped by God’s story. Don’t worry about having the “right” answers. Just speak honestly.
- You don’t have to do it alone. We suggest sharing your story with 1–3 people first—friends, mentors, or others in your community.
- Consider writing it out, even just in bullet points, to help clarify your thoughts.
- When you tell your story, you’re not trying to persuade—you’re bearing witness to what God has done. That’s powerful. Let your story speak.
