Family Ministries

Our vision is simple – to bring together the influence of parents and church leaders, collaborating to facilitate the growth of a deep and meaningful relationship between children and Jesus.

The Park Family Ministries is devoted to supporting parents in nurturing their children’s spiritual growth and faith journey. We are committed to providing meaningful Sunday morning classes, weekly programs, and valuable resources to help your family embody Jesus’s teachings in their daily lives.

Join us at 10 AM on Sunday mornings.

SUNDAY MORNING ENVIRONMENTS

Preschool
Babies Age 3 months through Pre-K Kids

We want our preschoolers to know these basic truths: God Made Them, God Loves Them, and Jesus Wants to be their Friend Forever. In our preschool environments, we want to help kids understand God’s love. Each Sunday, we aim to give each child personal attention, God’s love, and a sense of safety. They will participate in playtime and join other preschool friends for a large group where they practice their monthly memory verse, sing worship songs, and listen to a Bible story. We offer Sunday morning classes for children 3 months to 5 years old.

Elementary
Grades K-5

In our elementary classes, we have the opportunity to inspire kids with stories that reveal God’s love and character. The goal for each Sunday in these classes is to help kids grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship. We want our Elementary kids to know these basic truths: I need to make wise choices, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. We offer Sunday morning classes for kids Kinder – grade 5. Our kids in grades K-2 have class from 10 AM – 11:10 AM, and the kids in grades 3-5 graders participate in multigenerational worship and then head to class around 10:30 AM.

Youth
Grades 6-12

We want our students to grow in passion, compassion, and wisdom by processing their faith in a small group with peers, serving our city and others, and participating weekly in a multigenerational worship service. We believe teenagers need to be in:

Small Groups—Every teenager needs to be in a small group where they can process their faith and scripture and be accountable in their walk with Christ. Spiritual growth happens when we live life with others in a transparent, real way every day. We offer small groups for Middle School students on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings for High School Students.

Multi-Generational Worship Services— Sunday morning worship gatherings are a great way to grow spiritually with older and younger followers of Christ.

Service—God uses the world around us to impact and deepen our relationship with Christ. One of the best ways to grow as a teenager is to serve those around you. We can volunteer our time to repair a home, lead a group of younger kids in Bible study, or mow our neighbor’s lawn.

Volunteers

At the Park Family Ministries, we have the privilege of serving families and investing in the next generation of our church! We believe our environments are more than just childcare. They are an opportunity to impact the lives of children on their faith journey on Sundays. We have multiple opportunities to serve, and we would love to talk with you about how you can be involved. Kids Faith & Baptism

How do I talk to my child about following Jesus? Is my child ready to be Baptized? How do I prepare my child for Baptism and open up conversations about their Faith?

As a parent, you have the most significant impact on your child’s spiritual life. We want to support you in fulfilling your God-given responsibility.

Our baptism workbook below is designed to guide you and your child through conversations about the gospel, baptism, and what it means to start following Jesus. You’ll find questions to discuss, activities to do together, and Scripture to read. It’s meant to be fun and a way for you to grow in your faith together! Contact us to get your copy!

Kids Dedication

Kids Dedication is a time when families bring their kids before the church and commit together with the congregation to raise them in the way of Jesus. This service is a special monument in the lives of parents and their children.

Kids Dedication isn’t really about kids – it’s really about the parents. What we do during the dedication ceremony resembles a wedding because, like a wedding, it’s about a promise. We hope that through dedication, you will establish a commitment to raising your child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Why do we do dedication and not infant baptism? We believe that children must be old enough to understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus Christ before they can be baptized. Dedication is an opportunity for you as parents to publicly declare that you want to raise your child to develop your own relationship with Jesus Christ.

We offer Kids Dedication each Spring and Fall. Contact us for more information.
