Baptism

We believe baptism represents a special time in the life of the believer and in the church. Baptism is a sacramental work of the Holy Spirit that is an outward sign of an inward change in the life of a follower of Jesus. In baptism, we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus. When a person is baptized, they are committing to die to themselves and their sinful desires in order to put on their new life in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism is also a special moment in the life of the church. Together, we remember our baptism and recommit to die to ourselves daily. We are also witnesses to a special moment for those in our church who are being baptized. Much like witnesses at a wedding, we are committing to love, to pray for, and to hold accountable those we are welcoming into the church family.

We will have a baptism service May 26th at the Christian School at Castle Hills. If you or your child are interested in learning more about baptism or signing up to be baptized, click here.

Lenten Season

As a community we see Lent as a time to add something or subtract something. Our hope is as we add or subtract during this 40 day period it will increase stillness and create space for greater devotion to our Heavenly Father. In addition to your own practices, as a community, we have the following practices.

Lenten Prayers | February 18 – March 24, 2024 | 9:00–9:45am
Location: The Christian School at Castle Hills, Art Room (Youth Classroom)

We are continuing with week 3 of the Lenten Prayers. During this Lenten season we want to join together as a community to celebrate and remember God’s goodness. Weekly we will gather together for the ACTS of prayer; Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. We will have breakfast tacos and coffee available before we begin. Child care will be available for preschool through elementary age children. Check-in will begin at 9am in the Preschool Gym. Join us in the upstairs art room for guided prayers leading up to Easter Sunday. If you’d like more information and reminders through out the week on practices and prayer you can click here.

Good Friday Worship | March 29, 2024 12:00 – 1:00 | Christian School of Castle Hills

In the midst of a busy weekend of family events and Easter egg hunts take a few minutes to join in community for worship and prayer. Good Friday services follow a traditional Tenebrae (darkness) format. Children are welcome to join us for this service but please understand the service is conducted mostly in silence and the content is based around the crucifixion.

Easter Sunday | March 31, 2024 8:45 AM | Christian School of Castle Hills

Easter Sunday is a wonderful celebration of the risen Christ. Join us for March 31 for a morning full of joy and celebration. Our Easter Jam Festivities, breakfast, and photo opt will begin at 8:45 AM. Our normal Sunday morning service will begin at 10 AM, with an egg hunt immediately following the service outside by the playground.

This very eventful Sunday is always a full morning, if you’d like to be a part of the morning and serve alongside us, you can contact Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org.

Backyard Playdate

Come enjoy a fun morning with your kiddos for a Backyard Playdate at the home of Kelsey Cody Saturday, March 16th, 10am-12pm. Bring a snack to share. Click here to attend.

Spring Kids Dedication

Kids Dedication is a time when families bring their kids before the church and commit together with the congregation to raise them in the way of the Lord. This service is a special moment in the lives of parents and their children. To sign up for the May 12th Kids Dedication you can click here

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” ~1 Samuel 1:27-28

One Sunday a Month

One Sunday a month is all we ask of our leaders who serve alongside us at The Park. We value and desire to do Sunday mornings with our community. Through serving and leading our community, we hope that you would feel more known, develop deeper relationships with those you serve alongside, and that your heart would be transformed through the act of service to others. Would you consider serving one Sunday a month in one of the ministries we have at The Park? We would love to talk more with you on areas you could use your giftings in. Click here to see our serving areas. Chose which you would be interested in learning more about and you’ll be contacted next week with more information.

Giving to The Park

Recurring monthly donations help us maintain our day to day operations, so if you are not currently a recurring giver and feel led to become one, you can do that here.

Care Ministry

If you are in need of counseling of any sort, mentoring, assistance meeting a need, or prayer – we want to come along side you to assist in these things. To find out more on our Care Ministry you can click here.

Prayer at The Park

If you have a prayer request you would like us to pray for, we are available for prayer on Sunday morning before, during, and after service. You can contact Des Leiloglou at des@theparksa.org if you would like prayer before or after service. We also have a way for you to submit a prayer request at any time via our Church Form. Prayer requests can be confidential or can be shared with our staff to be prayed over. Click here to submit a prayer request.
