New Series: Thessalonians

This Sunday, we begin a new series in the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians – letters written to a young church learning what it means to follow Jesus in the midst of pressure, uncertainty, and everyday life.

In these letters, we’ll explore themes of faith, love, and hope, and what it looks like to live faithfully as the people of God, encouraging one another, growing in holiness, and holding onto the promise of what God is doing now and what is still to come. These early believers were learning to live with an active hope, one that shaped how they loved, worked, and endured together.

As a church family at The Park Community Church, we invite you to engage this series beyond Sunday mornings. Each week, discussion questions will be posted on our series page to help you reflect personally or process together in your small group.

You can find everything you need, including resources and discussion questions, here: theparksa.org/thessalonians

Take Your Next Step: Baptism

Baptism is a powerful step in following Jesus—an outward expression of an inward decision to trust Him and walk in new life. It’s a way of publicly declaring your faith and identifying with the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.

At The Park Community Church, we believe baptism is for anyone who has chosen to follow Jesus—no matter your age or where you are in your journey.

We’re excited to celebrate baptisms together on May 24 during a special outdoor baptism service. This will be a meaningful time as a church family to celebrate what God is doing in and through His people.

If you’ve been considering baptism, this could be your next step. Click here for more information or to sign up: theparksa.org/baptism

Serving at The Park

At The Park Community Church, we believe prayer is one of the most powerful ways we care for one another.

Our Prayer Team has the privilege of praying with individuals during Sunday services—offering comfort, encouragement, and standing together in faith. This role doesn’t stop on Sundays. Throughout the week, team members receive prayer requests and have the opportunity to intercede for others in meaningful and timely ways.

If you have a heart for compassion and a desire to uplift others through prayer, this team is for you. No special training is required—just a willingness to show up and be a steady presence for those in need.

Interested in serving?
Prayer partners who serve during a service will arrive at 9:50 AM for a brief check-in with Des Leiloglou. Come be part of a team that quietly but powerfully supports the life of our church. Sign up to serve here or learn more.

Community at The ParkAt The Park, the community doesn’t stop on Sundays; connection continues as we share life together throughout the week. Our communities gather in living rooms, around tables, and on back porches to grow in their faith and follow Jesus side by side. Whether it’s a Bible study, book club, movie night, or something uniquely you, every group carries the same heart: discipleship in everyday life.
There’s a place for you here. Explore current groups and what’s new at theparksa.org/groups. And if you’re considering starting a group of your own, we’d love to help you think through what that could look like, you can reach out to Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org.

Spiritual Formation Resources

Small Group Discussion Questions
Looking for a simple way to stay connected to Scripture throughout the week? Each week, we post discussion questions that align with Sunday’s sermon to help you continue engaging God’s Word beyond Sunday morning. These questions are designed to be used with your family, your small group, or on your own as a rhythm of weekly Scripture reflection.

Whether you’re around a dinner table, in a living room, or opening your Bible on a quiet morning, this is an easy way to keep the conversation going and let the sermon shape your week.

You can find the weekly questions by clicking here.
