This Sunday and on Christmas Eve, Christ Candles will be available for you and your family to take home. The Christ Candle represents Jesus as the Light of the World, reminding us that His light shines in the darkness and is meant to be carried into our homes and our lives. We encourage everyone to take a candle as a simple, meaningful way to remember and celebrate the hope, peace, joy, and love we find in Christ this season.
This Sunday, December 21, we’re gathering all generations together for a joyful Family Service filled with worship and a Christmas story. There will be no elementary through high school classes this Sunday as families worship together in the service. Our preschool and elementary students will help lead us in worship, singing a fun and joyful version of Joy to the World—a highlight you won’t want to miss! Families with participating children are invited to join us for a rehearsal at 9:15 AM. To help us prepare for staging, please be sure to complete the registration form so we know how many friends will be joining us.
Middle school students are invited to a festive afternoon of food, games, and a showing of Elf. Join us at the Sewell home (3419 Hunters Wind St) Sunday, December 21, 3:00–5:30 PM. This is a relaxed, fun way for students to connect and kick off Christmas break together. Bring a movie snack to share and a friend!
Celebrate the joy of Christmas with your Park family at our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24 at 5:00 PM. Join us early at 4:30 PM for hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies before service. This will be a slightly shortened, family-friendly service. While childcare will not be provided, we’ll have busy bags available for preschool through elementary-aged children to help little ones stay engaged. We can’t wait to worship and celebrate together.
We’ll be taking a short pause and will not have service on January 28 as we rest and reset together. The good news? We’ll be back January 4 as we kick off the new year and our study through Hebrews—and right after service, we’ll launch Starting Point, a great next step for anyone new or looking to reconnect and grow. We can’t wait to gather again in the new year. Until then, enjoy the season, rest well, and we’ll see you soon!

Community at The Park
The Park Community Church is a collection of Communities. We believe discipleship doesn’t just happen on Sundays—it happens when we gather in living rooms, around tables, and on back porches. Whether it’s a Bible study, book club, or even a movie group, each one carries the same heart: to live as disciples of Jesus in community—sharing life, growing in faith, and living on mission together. Visit theparksa.org/groups to explore groups and see what’s new. Interested in starting a unique group of your own? Contact Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org to help start your group!
