Connection Sunday + Starting Point (Aug 18)
Join us as we explore exciting upcoming opportunities for our church community. We will focus on various connection opportunities that allow us to grow together in faith and fellowship. People new to The Park are invited to join us for Starting Point right after service for about 15 minutes. If you’re new or have questions, this is a great place to start.
Dinners Together (Sept 14)
At The Park we believe that church is family, and having conversation around a dinner table expresses that in our community. We invite you to join us for Dinner Together, Saturday, September 14! Dinner Together will gather individuals, couples, and families with kids for a family-style meal. We value our diverse community filled with college students to empty nesters, and we want these dinners to reflect that. Participating in a dinner is easy: once you sign up you will be paired with a host home with other guests from our church community. Your host home will provide the main dish and guests can contribute sides, dessert or drinks. Dinner groups will consist of roughly 10-15 individuals/kids. Dinners are from 5-7 PM. Register here.

Connect
Connect with a Group
We are constantly looking to explore new ways to foster community through discipleship and bringing people together to develop Christ-centered friendships. Over the past year and a half, we’ve witnessed an organic growth of these groups. Women have gathered for book or video studies, men sharing Kairos moments over morning tacos, and moms and kids connecting through backyard playdates. We hope to see even more of this as we encourage everyone to meet with a few friends in a consistent rhythm. If you’d like to hear more about groups currently meeting and how to join click here.
Here are some groups you can join in now:
Ladies Book Club
Join a group of women meeting weekly and reading a Christian book together. The next book is The Narrow Path by Rich Villodas. The group meets Tuesday evenings August 27 through November 12 at Beacon House (708 W Summit) from 7-9:30pm. Contact des@theparksa.org to join!
Thursday Morning Spiritual Practice Group
If you are a woman in any stage of life looking for more depth in your walk with Jesus, this study is for you! Join us on Thursday mornings in September for a 4-week study on a spiritual practice through Practicing the Way. Practicing the Way resources, created by John Mark Comer, take a comprehensive look at spiritual practices like prayer or worship. The study consists of a 25-30 minute teaching video that we will watch as a group and discuss; along with a companion guide to help us each create habits to incorporate this practice into our daily lives. It is a great combination of personal growth at your own pace, with the support of a community. The group is meeting Thursdays in September (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th) from 10:00-11:30am at Lindsey Frey’s home (Harmony Hills). Contact lindsey@theparksa.org to join.
Men’s Discipleship Core
This group of men meets Tuesdays at Tia’s Taco Hut 7-8 am. The group will look at a passage of scripture using Lectio Divina. Contact scott@theparksa.org to join.
Spirited
This is a group of men sitting around a table, talking about issues of faith and philosophy, ethics and ideas. It is a safe space, where people can be honest and open about topics of faith, ask any questions, and at the end of the night, know that it’s perfectly fine if we disagree with one another. Group meets twice monthly on Mondays, 7:30-9:30 PM. Contact kyle@theparksa.org to join.
Connect with the Care Ministry
If you are in need of counseling of any sort, mentoring, assistance meeting a need, or prayer – we want to come alongside you to assist in these things. To find out more on our Care Ministry you can click here.
