Starting Point

This Sunday, immediately following service, we will have Starting Point. This 20 minute class lead by Scott Austin and Nancy Gaines will walk you through key areas of The Park and give you ways to connect in community and ask questions. We hope you will join us.

Family Dinners

At The Park we believe that church is family, and having conversation around a dinner table is an expression of that in our community. We invite you to join us for a Family Dinner Saturday, September 9th! Similar to Dinner for 8, we will gather individuals, couples, and for the first time, families with kids for a family style meal. We value our diverse community filled with college students to young families to empty nesters, and we want these dinners to reflect that. Participating in a Family Dinner is easy: you will be paired with a host home with other guests from our church community. Your host home will provide the main dish and guests can contribute sides, dessert or drinks. Dinner groups will consist of roughly 15 people. Dinners are from 5-7 PM. Click here to register. Interested in being a host home? Contact Nancy Gaines for more information at nancy@theparksa.org.

School of Theology

Join us for an enlightening journey of theological exploration in our School of Theology class, held every Wednesday night from September 27th to October 25th, 6:30-8:30 PM. Delving into the thought-provoking pages of Jon Tyson’s compelling book, “A Creative Minority,” this course delves into the dynamic relationship between the church and culture. Through engaging discussions and insightful reflections, we will uncover strategies and perspectives on how the church can authentically and meaningfully engage with the ever-evolving cultural landscape. Discover how to embody a transformative presence as a creative minority, inspiring positive change and fostering connections that bridge faith and society. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your theological understanding, connect with your church family, and learn how to become a dynamic agent of change within our world. The cost for this 5 week course is $25 for dinner each week and the book we will be going through. If child care cost is hindering you from being able to attend, please contact Terri Pease at . To register click here.

Fall Volunteering

If you’ve been considering serving at The Park the fall is a perfect time to give it a try! Our church community is growing and we are looking for leaders to step in and lead alongside us in Family Ministry, Connections, Operations, or Media. Family Ministry is in great need for several volunteers each Sunday. All volunteer positions are easy to learn. At The Park we only ask for a once a month volunteering commitment. Click here to be contacted with more information on serving in any of these areas through out the fall.

Women’s Book Club

This women’s book club meets every Tuesday evening starting August 15 through October 24 from 7:30-9:30 pm at Beacon House. We will discuss a chapter a week of Scandalous Grace by Preston Sprinkle, share thoughts, eat snacks, and spend time together in prayer. This book looks at grace from the surprising perspective of The Old Testament. There will be a radical end of book party when we finish reading. Contact Des Leiloglou for more info at des@theparksa.org.

Women’s Ministry Groups

We have several women’s groups that meet weekly and biweekly as well as monthly women’s events. If you’re looking to get to know more women at The Park and participate in any of these groups or events you can contact Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org.

Men’s Ministry Groups

We have several men’s groups that meet weekly and biweekly. If you’re looking to gather with other men through discipleship and bible study you can contact Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org for more info.
