Good morning!

I hope you have had a great week!

One of the Core beliefs of the Park is that the Bible is God’s Word, authored by Him and is the standard by which followers of Jesus are called to live. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” It is a great reminder for me today that the words contained in the Bible are from God to me, breathed into existence by the Creator of all things, so that I might be ready to do all that He has called me to do. The question we must wrestle with continually is: Am I “in” His word? Do I know it and able to teach it? Do I consider myself to be in training? The implications for us (and the world around us) are too big to not consider and respond to the eternal value of having His Word with us today.

Serving the Servants: Check out this event that is happening tomorrow!:

From Brandon: “Alright everybody, this month is going to be way different than what we normally do. I think God puts us in our different places in life for His specific reasons, and a lot of the time we don’t understand why. Now that I’m on the ambulance, I get to see a ton of nursing home residents. These men and women need some loving on – and that’s what we plan on doing. We’ll arrive at 2 and have a ice cream social with the residents (I’ll bring all the stuff), and then time permitting we’ll play some board games or dominoes. Another option that the even coordinator told me today is that the men and women really enjoy making cards for our service people — so that’ll be another option. You don’t have to bring anything, just show up and spend some time with these well deserving people. Few things are more fun than sitting and talking with folks that have been alive 2 and 3 times longer than we’ve been here. I hope to see you then. Let me know if you have any questions, and kids are welcome — actually very much encouraged.”

When: Saturday, June 15th @ 2pm

Where: Sterling House 13303 Jones Maltsberger San Antonio, TX 78247

Exodus Community Groups: Community Groups at the Park track with the Sunday sermons. This Sunday we are going to be studying Chapter 18 of the book of Exodus. Any time we start a new book of the bible we engage our community to find out if anyone would like to join a new group. Since community is a core value of the Park, we encourage everyone to get into a Community Group. You can find a current list of groups HERE.

If you have questions, contact Chris.

Starting Point on 6.23.13: What is Starting Point? We do this meeting once a month and it is designed to be a time where you get to find out more about the Park; it’s history, vision, values, etc. It is also a time where you can come with questions and we hope to provide clarity. Most questions get answered through the material that we cover, but not always. So, whether you are new or have been coming for a while, Starting Point is your next step in getting connected and I want to encourage you to join us right after service on Sunday, June 23rd. Questions? Email Chris
