Good Morning!

I hope you have had a great week. This past Saturday a group from the Park served at Children’s Hunger Fund. Over the course of 3 hours, over 1,100 Foodpak’s were completed and prepared to ship to Honduras. Serving our city and world is an important value of the Park. We encourage everyone to serve in some capacity once a month. If you aren’t sure where you would like to serve, check out our Missional Partner page.

As Summer arrives it is important to us that you know what is happening in and around the Park community:

Heads up! Serve at Blueprint this Summer: This Missional Partner of the Park serves the city of San Antonio by focusing on residential renewal projects in the inner city of San Antonio. Through their hard work and commitment, the staff of Blueprint has established relationships with homeowners all over the city and are sharing the hope of Jesus through the work they do. As part of their work, every summer youth groups come to San Antonio to work on homes. They are housed and fed at the Blueprint facility. Local churches have the opportunity to prepare and serve dinner meals to these campers. If you are interested in serving, the Park has taken a week and would love for you to volunteer on one or several nights that week. Details are below:

Exodus Community Groups: Community Groups at the Park track with the Sunday sermons. This Sunday we are going to be studying Chapter 17 of the book of Exodus. Any time we start a new book of the bible we engage our community to find out if anyone would like to join a new group. Since community is a core value of the Park, we encourage everyone to get into a Community Group. You can find a current list of groups HERE.

If you have questions, contact Chris.

Starting Point on 6.23.13: What is Starting Point? We do this meeting once a month and it is designed to be a time where you get to find out more about the Park; it’s history, vision, values, etc. It is also a time where you can come with questions and we hope to provide clarity. Most questions get answered through the material that we cover, but not always. So, whether you are new or have been coming for a while, Starting Point is your next step in getting connected and I want to encourage you to join us right after service on Sunday, June 23rd. Questions? Email Chris

Christian Assistance Ministries is a non-profit organization in the heart of San Antonio that exists to share the love of Christ by providing immediate assistance and encouragement to people in crisis. Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) is a cooperative ministry founded in 1977 by nine downtown San Antonio churches. The goal was to offer temporary assistance to individuals and families in crisis situations, alleviating the duplication of services by banding together to form one centrally located social service agency.
Dawn White leads the charge at CAM and does an amazing job instilling passion to so many and modeling servant leadership in our city.
If you have any questions please contact them at the CAM website.
