Good morning!

The month of July has come and is almost gone. We hope you have been enjoying our study of a few psalms this summer. We have a couple more weeks to go. David is such a great example to us of someone who experienced so many highs and lows. Throughout his life he knew of God’s constant love for him. We looked at Psalm 3 last week and were reminded that we can truly rest in God knowing that He is always faithful.

It’s shaping up to be a busy summer around our community! Check out the latest:

Serving the Servants – Nurses @ Baptist ER:  Mark it on your calendar: Saturday, July 28th. If you’ve never joined in on this project I highly encourage you to this month as the focus will be on a local hospital. Brandon Griffin has a great ministry in which our local police, fire/rescue, and hospitals are shown the love of God through simply bringing them some tasty treats and smiles to help push them through the day. Meet at 10:30am at La Taza Coffee House (15060 San Pedro) or at the hospital at 11am (16088 San Pedro, 78232).  Email Brandon at redgriff@hotmail.com for other details.

Kids Dedication: On August 12th we will be dedicating kids at The Park. It is a powerful event in the life of a family! If you are interested in taking part in this, please contact Jen at jen@theparksa.org.

Bible Study for Women: Jana Galt (jana.b.galt@gmail.com) is the San Antonio class administrator for Community Bible Study. This is a bible study for women that has more than 600 classes worldwide. There is a program through this bible study for all kids from infants through high school. This would be a great opportunity for women at the Park to connect with other women and grow in their study of God’s word. If you would like to find out more about this ministry you can email Jana or go to the national website at www.communitybiblestudy.org

If you would like to get into a class, you can register at: http://sanantonio.cbsclass.org

Volunteering on Sundays: As our community continues to grow, there are always needs with regard to volunteering on Sundays. We ask people for a once-a-month commitment to reinforce the fact that your primary ministry exists outside of Sunday mornings. If we all take one Sunday per month, we can keep that focus alive. Interested to jump in on Sundays in Family Ministries or Set-Up/Take-down? Email Scott at scott@theparksa.org.

Psalms Teaching Series: This Sunday we are continuing our study of a few Psalms. The focus for this week will be Psalm 103. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, take a 5 minute break today and give it a read. We will see you Sunday.

Book of Romans Community Groups in the Fall: We are excited to study the book of Romans this coming fall. We will be launching some community groups that will track along with the sermons each week. Currently existing groups can also participate in this study. We are currently in the process of recruiting people who would like to host/lead a group. If you are interested please email Chris at chris@theparksa.org.

Have a great weekend and we will see you at 10am at Huebner Elementary this Sunday!

Chris
