Practices

Our Life Together

Our mission is to create environments for people to grow in their passion for God, compassion for people, and wisdom in everyday decisions.

“Learning to love God takes practice.”

James K. A. Smith, You Are What You Love

That mission takes shape through the rhythms of our life together. We gather to worship, learn, share meals, celebrate, and serve. These practices help us turn our attention toward God, build caring relationships, and learn to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Our Rhythms

Rhythms that turn us toward God.

We practice these rhythms in response to God’s love, freely given. Together, we learn to receive that love and share it.

Every Sunday

Gathering Each Sunday

Each Sunday, we gather to worship, hear Scripture read and taught, take communion, and pray together. We bring our joys, questions, and struggles into God’s presence. Through these shared practices, we grow in our passion for God and learn to let the story of Jesus shape our relationships and decisions throughout the week.

Whether you’ve been part of a church for years or are beginning to explore faith, you’re welcome to join us.

Through the week

Learning, Eating, and Celebrating Together

Our life together extends throughout the week and across the year. We return to shared rhythms of learning, eating, and celebrating—making time to explore Scripture, ask questions, share meals, and enjoy being together.

We believe every follower of Jesus should be part of a small group community. At The Park, groups meet weekly to work through their faith together—exploring questions, praying for one another, and discovering how to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Around tables and in everyday conversations, we learn to listen, make room for others, and care for one another. These gatherings create space for friendships to deepen, compassion to grow, and wisdom to develop as we follow Jesus together.

Every day

Rhythms for Everyday Life

Our mission carries into our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Prayer and Scripture nurture our passion for God. Hospitality and service deepen our compassion for people. Rest, reflection, and shared learning help us grow in wisdom for everyday decisions.

One helpful resource is a “Rule of Life”—a simple framework for choosing intentional, sustainable rhythms. Start small, make room for grace, and explore practices that help you grow in love for God and others.

Across the year

Walking Through the Christian Year

We follow the church calendar—an annual rhythm that helps us live in the story of Jesus. Its seasons invite us to wait, celebrate, reflect, and begin again.

Advent and Lent are especially meaningful seasons at The Park. In Advent, we practice waiting and hope as we prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birth. In Lent, we make room for prayer, reflection, and repentance as we journey toward Easter. These seasons help us slow down, renew our attention to God, and consider how our faith shapes the way we live.
