ALL PARISH RETREAT

February 11th – 13th

RETREATING

The Park is excited for our first All Parish Retreat at the YoungLife Camp Lonehollow in Vanderpool, Texas on February 11-13, 2022.  We hope you will join us for a weekend of rest, worship, fun, and community.

The retreat will start around dinnertime on Friday evening and end after lunch on Sunday.  We will livestream church from Camp Lonehollow.  If you can’t come for the whole weekend, but would like to join us for church and lunch on Sunday, there is that registration option as well.

If you are registering your family, please list yourself as the primary contact and then register the rest of your family as the spouse/children. We will need that information to do room assignments.

Please email Terri Pease at terri@theparksa.org with any questions.

RULE & RHYTHM OF LIFE

Our theme for the retreat will be on a rule and rhythm of life. Without a real plan for how we as individuals, families and a church community will live our lives with purpose, we end up establishing a rhythm of life around hurry, consumerism and exhausting.

There is a better way. It is the way of Jesus. Let us see that habits shape the heart. Les us stop fearing that limits are a threat to our freedom. Let us see that the right limitations are the way of the good life. Let us build a trellis for love to grow on. Let us craft a common rule of life for our time, one that will unite our heads and our habits, growing us into the lovers of God and neighbor we were created to be.

SPIRITUAL PRACTICES

“God has given us the Disciplines of the spiritual life as a means of receiving his grace. The Disciplines allow us to place ourselves before God so that he can transform us.”

Richard J. Foster, A Celebration of Discipline

Following Jesus takes practice. During this Lenten season, we encourage you to use some traditional spiritual disciplines to help you connect with God.
