Midtown Parish

In the fall 2013, I was in my fourth year of teaching and coaching. I knew God had something else for me, but I didn’t know what it was. Scott approached me and told me about what God had revealed to him regarding planting churches in San Antonio. He then asked if I would join The Park as the first church planter. It was an overwhelming and humbling thought, but I felt it was God’s call on my life. My wife and I moved to Midtown around that same time and started a missional community in January of 2014

I am confident God has called us to this part of the city to join with Him in what He is already doing. We have a heart to serve the needy, partner with other churches and like-minded organizations, and display the gospel through both words and actions. In one year, I quit my job and joined on full time with The Park, my wife Meredith gave birth to our first daughter, our missional community continued to grow in number and depth, we formed a core team for Midtown, and had a successful Midtown Starting Point Class in February. We held prayer and worship nights during the spring, monthly preview services over the summer, and launched weekly Sunday morning services on September 13th, 2015.  All in all, God’s favor has been upon us and we are thrilled to see what He will do next.

We are to live lives of worship. On Sunday’s we worship together through music and scripture.

Each week we offer time to pray with one another or one of our trained prayer partners.

We take communion together every week. We believe that this grounds us in the gospel.

We usually teach from a book of the Bible, walking together to understand the way of Jesus..

Family Ministries

Loving, safe and nurturing environment where children from newborns through Elementary are taught the story of God.

We meet in the auditorium of a neighborhood school. We love and care for both those who live around us and those who attend the school.
