Blueprint Gift Delivery

We are only 11 families away from having all our Blueprint families having gifts! Blueprint ministries is committed to restoring homes and hope to low income individuals families in San Antonio. This year we are being given the opportunity to adopt 22 families that they have worked with including two families which were renovated by our very own youth group. If you’re interested, please click here and also know that gift selection has been simplified with an Amazon wishlist for reference. Once you choose a family, Kevin will share with you items that have been asked for by each family member you’ve selected. We will be delivering gifts on December 10th after service. Please remember that while the presents are a blessing, bringing the presence of Christ is just important. If you cannot deliver on the 10th after service, we can arrange another time (so the homeowner can be present). Lastly, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Kevin@theparksa.org so we can bring clarity to this gift campaign.

Jingle Jam

Hey Park Families! You are going to want to save the date for Jingle Jam- Deck the Halls, Countdown to Christmas, happening in the sanctuary on Sunday, December 10th at 8:45am. We will have a light breakfast starting at 8:45 AM, followed by the Jingle Jam service. Everyone is invited to dress up in their best Christmas festive outfit! We will have a light breakfast and a Christmas party for all ages. This event is open to all, so invite your friends, neighbors, and loved ones for a morning of Christmas cheer! Let’s celebrate the season together as a community. Save the date and spread the word! It’s going to be a Jingle-tastic time for everyone!

Thanksgiving Liturgy

This Sunday we will be talking about Thanksgiving and we are inviting our kinder through high school students to stay in service. We will have coloring pages and colors available. We encourage you to bring any additional snacks or quiet activities that will be beneficial to your child. Our service liturgy will be the same, but we are tailoring this to meaningful for all audiences. See you Sunday!

Discipling Your Kid Workshop

Join us for a hands-on workshop this Sunday where you can revisit or create a yearly discipleship plan for your family. We will discuss how to cultivate family rhythms that develop passion, compassion and wisdom in our family’s everyday lives. We will also be discussing baptism and its role in our lives as followers of Christ. Join us this Sunday, October 22, 8:30 – 9:45 AM in the Art Room of The Christian School at Castle Hills. The Park Kid’s Dedication service is about a commitment to put God first in your home and to trust in Him as your source of direction as you lead your family and parent your child. Women’s Night Out

Join us this Saturday, October 14th, for a Women’s Night Out at 5:30pm at the home of Katie Edge. We would love you to join us in getting to know other women at The Park! We will have conversation over dinner, watch a short video from author and speaker, Bianca Olthoff, then have discussion. We hope you will join us. Click here to register to attend.

Baptism

We believe baptism represents a special time in the life of the believer and in the church. Baptism is a sacramental work of the Holy Spirit that is an outward sign of an inward change in the life of a follower of Jesus. In baptism, we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus. When a person is baptized, they are committing to die to themselves and their sinful desires in order to put on their new life in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is also a special moment in the life of the church. Together, we remember our baptism and recommit to die to ourselves daily. We are also witnesses to a special moment for those in our church who are being baptized. Much like witnesses at a wedding, we are committing to love, to pray for, and to hold accountable those we are welcoming into the church family. If you are interested in learning more about baptism or signing up to be baptized, fill out the form below and a pastor will contact you.

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. ~Romans 6:1-4

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It’s a beautiful celebration of what God does in renewing our lives and restoring relationship with Him. Our faith is personal, but it isn’t private. If you’ve never been baptized we would like to celebrate with you and encourage you to sign up to do so on October 29th as part of the service. Baptism

We believe baptism represents a special time in the life of the believer and in the church. Baptism is a sacramental work of the Holy Spirit that is an outward sign of an inward change in the life of a follower of Jesus. In baptism, we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus. When a person is baptized, they are committing to die to themselves and their sinful desires in order to put on their new life in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is also a special moment in the life of the church. Together, we remember our baptism and recommit to die to ourselves daily. We are also witnesses to a special moment for those in our church who are being baptized. Much like witnesses at a wedding, we are committing to love, to pray for, and to hold accountable those we are welcoming into the church family. If you are interested in learning more about baptism or signing up to be baptized, fill out the form below and a pastor will contact you.

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. ~Romans 6:1-4

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It’s a beautiful celebration of what God does in renewing our lives and restoring relationship with Him. Our faith is personal, but it isn’t private. If you’ve never been baptized we would like to celebrate with you and encourage you to sign up to do so on October 29th as part of the service. Women’s Night Out

Mark your calendars for a Women’s Night Out next Saturday, October 14th at 5:30pm at the home of Katie Edge. We would love you to join us in getting to know other women at The Park! We will have conversation over dinner, then watch a video from author and speaker, Bianca Olthoff. Click here to register to attend.

Discipling Your Kid at Any Age

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you can revisit or create a yearly discipleship plan for your family. We will discuss how to cultivate family rhythms that develop passion, compassion and wisdom in our family’s everyday lives. We will also be discussing baptism and its role in our lives as followers of Christ. Join us Sunday, October 22, 8:30 – 9:45 AM in the Art Room of The Christian School at Castle Hills. Breakfast and childcare will be provided. 

Kid Dedications

The Park Kid’s Dedication service is about a commitment to put God first in your home and to trust in Him as your source of direction as you lead your family and parent your child. It is also a time to share with your closest friends, family and church community what is most important to you and to ask them for their prayer and support. Our next dedication service will be Sunday, October 29th during the Sunday morning service. There will be a baptism class on Sunday, October 22nd before service in the Art Room. If you are interested in kid dedications you can click here. Family Ministry Serving

If you’ve been considering serving at The Park, the fall is a perfect time to give it a try! Our church community is growing, especially our Family Ministries! We are in need of 10 additional volunteers to serve one Sunday a month to help lead kiddos. If you would like to serve in another area, we are looking for leaders to step in and lead alongside us in Connections, Operations, or Media as well. All volunteer positions are easy to learn and require no previous experience. Click here to be contacted with more information on serving in any of these areas through out the fall.

Connection Sunday

This Sunday is Connection Sunday. At The Park we desire for our community to join in Christ centered friendships while deepening their relationship with God. These two things go hand in hand. This Sunday we will be sharing how you can get connected in the men and women’s studies The Park offers lead by leaders in our church community. Join us after service to meet the leaders and hear more about what is available to join.
