Elementary Family Summer Pool Party
If you have a student entering Kinder through 6th grade then your entire family is invited to join us for a pool party potluck! Join us this Sunday, July 23, 4-6 PM at Whispering Oaks Pool. Kyle Isenhower will be grilling cheeseburgers and you can bring a side! Click here to register so we can get an accurate food count!
Blueprint Meal Volunteering
As Blueprint summer camps are winding down, they are still in need of a few volunteers to help prep and serve meals on July 23 and 25. We would love to help them finish strong as they wrap up this very busy summer. If you are able to help you can click here to volunteer.
Fall Volunteering
We have seen our community grow and the fall is also a time when If you’ve been considering serving at The Park, in Family Ministry, Connections, Operations, or Media, we are always in need of people to help lead alongside us. Family Ministry is in great need for several volunteers each Sunday. All volunteer positions are easy to learn. At The Park we only ask for a once a month volunteering commitment. Promotion Sunday Extravaganza
Mark your calendars for an event you wont want to miss- Promotion Sunday Extravaganza August 20th! This will be a back to school party after church for the entire family. Until this event, please keep your children in their current class on Sunday mornings. We will not be moving them up a grade until our big party in August.
Missional Partner Highlight: Kemps
We are so excited to have the Kemp family here with us this summer. They are missionaries sent out through the Park, planting churches amongst the Roma of Albania. Their family will be in San Antonio for the summer to reconnect with the church and their friends and family. Please feel free to reach out to them to set up a coffee, lunch or whatever. Care Ministry
If you are in need of counseling of any sort, mentoring, assistance meeting a need, or prayer, we want to come along side you to assist in these things. To find out more on our Care Ministry you can click here.
Prayer at The Park
If you have a prayer request you would like us to pray for, we are available for prayer on Sunday morning before, during, and after service. You can contact Des Leiloglou at des@theparksa.org if you would like prayer before or after service. We also have a way for you to submit a prayer request at any time via our Church Form. Prayer requests can be confidential or can be shared with our staff to be prayed over. Click here to submit a prayer request.
Women’s Ministry Groups
We have several women’s groups that meet weekly and biweekly as well as monthly women’s events. If you’re looking to get to know more women at The Park and participate in any of these groups or events you can contact Nancy Gaines at nancy@theparksa.org.
Men’s Ministry Groups
Men’s Discipleship Core– This group meets Tuesdays at Tia’s Taco Hut 7-8 am. The group will look at a passage of scripture using Lectio Divina.
Spirited– This is a group of people sitting around a table, talking about issues of faith and philosophy, ethics and ideas. It is a safe space, where people can be honest and open about topics of faith, ask any questions, and at the end of the night, know that it’s perfectly fine if we disagree with one another. Group meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, 7:30-9:30 PM, summer may alter meeting times.
Pre-Service Connection
Every Sunday we have a time of community before service. Starting at 9:30am we have tacos and coffee available in the sanctuary. We hope you will join us to say hello, catch up, or pray before service.
