Foster/Adopt Ministry Upcoming Events:
Volunteer Opportunity: The Park Foster/Adopt Team has an upcoming volunteer opportunity to deliver and build beds on Saturday, August 13th, from 9 AM-12 PM. We will meet on the backside of Woodland Baptist Church at 9 AM. We are in need of volunteers who have a truck or access to one for the delivery dates – but trucks aren’t required to volunteer. Informational Ministry Dinner: The Foster/Adopt Ministry team will also be hosting an informational dinner on Thursday, September 22nd from 6:30 – 8PM at Beacon House. This dinner is for those interested in supporting the ministry and for families who are interested in fostering and adoption. We will have dinner and childcare reimbursement is available. Back to School Jam
Join us Sunday, August 21st at 9am for our Back to School Jam. We will have a light breakfast at 9am, followed by the Back to School Jam in the gym. This will be fun for adults and kids…lots of music, games, and laughs! Hope to see you there.
Albania – Fall 2022
As our summer trip was cancelled due to understaffing in the Airline industry, we are planning a Fall trip to Albania to work with our amazing partners the Kemps (with Pioneers) and Aldo Rustemi and Edi Nazerej (with Cru). The dates are Thursday, Sept 29 to Friday, Oct 7 and the cost is $2200. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact chris@theparksa.org. The deadline to commit is August 15.
Fall Sunday Morning Serving
We are looking for fall volunteers in our four ministry areas: Media, Family Ministry, Connections and Operations. These volunteer teams allow you to serve before service, during or after once a month. Care Ministry
If you are in need of counseling of any sort, mentoring, assistance meeting a need, or prayer, we want to come along side you to assist in these things. To find out more on our Care Ministry you can click here.
Neighborhood Parish Meals
Parish meals are a great way to get connected to people in our church community as well as in surrounding neighborhoods. We have some great dinners, events, and men and women hang outs planned for the fall through The Park’s neighborhood parishes. Groups meet on different nights of the week, so check out which is closest to you, or which night of the week works best for you.
