Father’s Day Celebration This Sunday
This Sunday we will be celebrating the men in our community for Father’s Day! We will have a special gift for all the dads and father figures so be sure to stick around after service so we can celebrate with you. Also, our tradition at The Park for Father’s Day is for dad’s to wear shorts to church on Sunday, so come comfy this Sunday! Can’t wait to celebrate with you all.
Summer Missional Partner Serving Opportunities
There are some great summer opportunities to serve a few of our Missional Partner this summer. Check out the options below for adults, families, and teens!
Blueprint Summer Serving
Want to help serve The Park teens while they’re at camp? Join us to help prepare and serve meals for The Park campers the week of July 17, 5:30-8:00pm (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). We need 8-10 volunteers each day. You will arrive at 5:30pm, cook dinner for the campers, serve, and then clean up. Volunteering will be done by 8pm. You can click here to volunteer to serve.
Blueprint has lots of other summer serving opportunities available for you and older children to assist with. Blueprint has things that need to be done around their building such as some heavy lifting and moving, stocking closets, administrative prep, etc. They also need assistance picking up and dropping off materials to home sites as well as helping cook, serve and clean up meals for campers throughout the summer. YoungLives Camp
Every Summer YoungLives takes teen moms to YoungLife camp to experience God, friendships, adventure and fun! This summer about 200 teen moms will hear the Gospel at the YoungLife camp at Camp LoneHollow! About 15 teen moms from San Antonio will attend as well as surrounding areas. YoungLife can’t make it happen without people to come alongside them to make it happen! Here are some ways you can partner with YoungLives for summer camp:
1. Childcare Volunteer – YoungLives needs ~50 volunteers to come and care for babies/toddlers while moms hear the Word of God. Volunteers can select Camp LoneHollow June 22-27 and register here.
2. Supplies – YoungLives needs need a variety of supplies to help provide the needs of moms and babies. We are collecting NEW umbrella strollers as well as other supplies. Click here to view Walmart and Amazon wish list.
Blueprint Mission Camp
Registration is still open for 6th-12th graders for the Blueprint Mission Camp July 17 – 21, 2022. Each summer The Park joins with Blueprint to work at inner-city homes during the day and share in worship together in the evenings. Blueprint provides all lodging, food, tools, materials and programming during camp. The cost is $225 per camper; $100 deposit needs to be paid at registration. The full payment is due by June 30, 2022.
We are still looking for a male leader to accompany our awesome youth kids for half the week. It’s an all-expense paid trip! It’s an incredibly transformative time for our youth and those who lead them, connecting with the homeowners and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Neighborhood Parish Meals
This summer we have some great dinners, events, and men and women hang outs planned for the summer through The Park’s neighborhood parishes. Groups meet on different nights of the week, so check out which is closest to you, or which night of the week works best for you. Sunday Morning Serving
Join us in serving this summer! We would love to have you join us and try out a few of our ministry areas at The Park from Media, Family Ministry, Connections and Operations. These volunteer teams allow you to serve before service, during or after. Care Ministry
