On Mother’s Day, May 8th, we will have kid dedications in service. There is a class on Sunday, April 24th at 2-3:30pm. Foster/Adopt Ministry Serving Opportunities
CPS is working hard with biological families in our community that are lacking resources – one of the biggest needs for these families are beds for their children. Woodland Baptist Church has an amazing group of volunteers that have been building beds for these families and The Park Foster/Adopt Team is hoping to provide support once a month for the delivery and assembling of these beds. The next volunteer date is Saturday, May 14th from 9 AM-12 PM. We are in need of volunteers who have a truck or access to one for the delivery dates – but trucks aren’t required to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cadence Corbin at cadencecorbin2@gmail.com.
Lent Guide
The theme of this year’s Lent Guide is “Unity with Christ.” We are looking at the passage in the New Testament that speak of the ways that we are not alone in our daily life, but that in so many ways God is with us and leading us along the way. Our journey this year is to become more aware of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives and how we are to be a changed people because of Him.
We want this season of Lent to be one where together we are not just meditating on the things of God, but one where we are practicing them together. In order to help with this, we have created this Lent Guide that includes mediations, prayers, and some practices for us to do together. Click here to view the digital version of the Lent Guide.
