Join Us This Sunday
We would love for you to join us for worship this weekend as we kick off our new series on the book of Nehemiah, whether in person or online. We’re monitoring the rise of COVID cases in San Antonio. Our services are limited in attendance (25% capacity), socially distanced, and we require mask if you are indoors. For many of you we respect that in person is not an option at this time. We will continue to serve our online community as well and invite you to join us at 10AM Sunday on Facebook Live or YouTube. Register to join us in person by clicking here.
Family Ministries
Parents have your kiddos join us this Sunday for our Family Ministry portion of the sermon. Our January memory verse is Nehemiah 2:18 “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work. For the at-home engagement activity write the following 5 words on sticky notes and lay them on a table in front of your kids, read and briefly discuss each word together: Justice, Nehemiah, Restoration, Covenant and Jerusalem. Have your kids listen for these key words throughout the sermon. As they hear a word, have them move the sticky note to a “Focus Wall” or area. After the sermon, ask your kids what they remembered about the words from the message. Follow up with these 2 family discussion questions:
- Do you think knowing the history of things is important? Why or why not?
- Why can we trust God even when we go through hard times?
