Spring 2020 Volunteering @ The Park

Being a church that plants churches, the way we keep things streamlined and debt-free is that everyone does something. We ask everyone in our community to serve once a month on Sundays in many different areas like Family Ministries, Operations, Connections, and a few others. If you are not currently serving, would you take a moment and fill out the volunteer form to jump in for the first half of 2020? Click here to sign up and we’ll contact you this week.

Why We Gather

Recent studies are showing that fewer and fewer Christians are attending Sunday church gatherings. For different reasons, there seems to be a general apathy concerning being with one another to celebrate all that God has done in Christ on our behalf and to encourage one another as a result of being present to fellow brothers and sisters. With the advent of an endless supply of resources, podcasts, and online sermon content, we have become somewhat lost in all these resources to the detriment of not properly valuing being with fellow members of the body of Christ in gathered times of prayer, scripture, and singing.

Made in the image of God, you and I are created for relationships built on being loved and known. We need to recover and reengage the ancient path of gathering together with joy and expectation.  The author of Hebrews exhorted the church by writing, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)

With Sunday being right around the corner, can I boldly ask: is there a joyful expectation to gather with other followers of Jesus? The church is a sign and foretaste of God’s kingdom here and now. Be encouraged that you are not in this alone and that your participation in the gathered life of the body of Christ is critical to not only your spiritual growth but also those around you. I am praying for our hearts to be renewed in this way!

Thanksgiving Liturgy Service

Join us for a family service centered around Thanksgiving liturgy next Sunday. We are closing classes for our Kinder-6th graders that weekend so our children can worship with us. We are praying this will be a refreshing time for parents and children to hear the same message and interact with each other in a meaningful way.
