Phillipians 4:4-7
Written On Your Heart
As you read and study together, make sure to work hard at hearing from everyone that has gathered together. Pray for one another and be accountable to applying the word of God to your lives.

General Questions:

  1. It’s easy to take verses like Philippians 4:13 out of context. In this case, we see Paul stating that he has learned to be content whether he is in need, or has plenty, and whether he is hungry, or well-fed–all of this through Christ’s strength in him. How is Christ’s strength satisfying your deepest needs in the world of Instagram posts and ads touting the newest gadgets?

For Further Discussion:

  1. When Philippians 4:13 is read with verse 12, it seems like Paul is writing “I have found the secret of being content in any circumstance, and that secret is Jesus. Through him, I am content, for He is my strength.” How can we follow Paul’s lead and focus on the Father and not on our circumstances?
