Good morning!

In case you missed it, last Sunday the Park partnered with Mission Church to do an event at Haven for Hope. The morning was full of music, teaching, baptisms, lunch, and fun for kids. It was amazing to see all that God did in uniting 2 communities of faith to reach out to the residents at Haven. 16 people were baptized that morning!

We are excited to be back at Huebner Elementary this Sunday at our normal 10am time slot. We will be back into our study of Exodus. This Sunday we will be in chapter 24. Read it a few times this weekend.

Missional Partner Spotlight:

At the Park we partner with individuals and organizations around our city and the world to extend the great message of the gospel through words and actions. We pray for these partners as well as help fund many of their projects, initiatives, and personal needs. For a complete list of our current partners click HERE.

Kari Kurz is the local area director (Northwest) for YoungLife. Here is a little bit about the organization:
Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults who are concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency. So Young Life leaders log many hours with kids — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what’s important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks. We believe in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.

DeFrees Family Mission Trip:

The DeFrees family is leaving TODAY to join Real 4 Christ Ministries in Mombasa, Kenya July 12-24. Real 4 Christ is spreading God’s love in many ways in Africa. They have planted two churches, started a school that serves 300 students and share Jesus with people in neighboring villages. In addition, they have opened a feeding center, medical clinic and drill wells so that communities have clean water to drink.

The DeFrees’ are very excited and humbled to join their friends Chris and Lisa Moore (founders of Real 4 Christ Ministries) in being the hands and feet of Jesus in Mombasa and answering God’s call to go and make disciples.

Please keep them in your prayers as they minister in Kenya. Thank you!

Exodus Community Groups: Community Groups at the Park track with the Sunday sermons. Any time we start a new book of the bible we engage our community to find out if anyone would like to start or join a new group. Since community is a core value of the Park, we encourage everyone to get into a Community Group. You can find a current list of groups HERE.

If you have questions, contact Chris.

Rwanda Church Construction Update:
This past Easter we as a community decided to fund the construction of church in Rwanda through our friendship and partnership with Bishop Nathan Amooti. The project is going great and I thought you might like to see a couple of pictures:
