Good Morning!

One of the Core Values at the Park is Simplicity. We would like to tell you that this was our plan from the beginning, but the reality is that it was a funding issue. When we began the Park, we didn’t have a lot of money and so we had to keep things simple. In those first couple of months people would come and tell us that they loved how simple and stripped-down everything was…to which we would nod our heads and say “yeah, yeah…we love it to!”.

There have been a lot of lessons over the last couple of years but none more clear than this: the only thing impressive at the Park is God and His Word. Period. In a world that is working harder every day to impress you and gain your attention, it’s really all about Jesus.

There are a few other things going on around the Park that we want you to know about:
Baptisms @ The Park: On Sunday afternoon, May 19th we will be having a time of food and fellowship as we celebrate baptism. Jeff and Jana Galt will be hosting this event at their home from 2-5pm. We have done this several times at the Galt’s and it is a great time for everyone! After baptisms please feel free and go for a swim!
Baptism is a step of obedience and is an outward sign of an inward change by the grace of God. Jesus was baptized by John and before ascending to heaven commanded his followers to go and preach the gospel and baptize all of those who would come to faith. If you have questions about baptism or would like to sign up, please email us at info@theparksa.org or talk to Chris or Scott on a Sunday.

Exodus Community Groups: Community Groups at the Park track with the Sunday sermons. This Sunday we are going to be studying Chapters 3 & 4 of the book of Exodus. Any time we start a new book of the bible we engage our community to find out if anyone would like to join a new group. Since community is a core value of the Park, we encourage everyone to get into a Community Group. You can find a current list of groups at: http://theparksa.org/community-groups/
If you have questions, contact Chris at chris@theparksa.org

Missional Partner Spotlight: At the Park we partner with individuals and organizations around our city and the world to extend the great message of the gospel through words and actions. We pray for these partners as well as help fund many of their projects, initiatives, and personal needs. For a complete list of our current partners go to: http://theparksa.org/ministry-partners/
