Good morning!

I hope you have had a great week. It’s truly amazing to think about the opportunity we have as a community to not only do life together but also be a light to our city and world. I am constantly reminded of Jesus’ words in John 20:21, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” This is no small thing. Jesus said this after the resurrection and before his ascension. He was giving his marching orders to the church. The unmistakable truth about every believer is that he or she is sent by God the Father with the same mission and message that Jesus the Son was given. Do you believe you are on mission with Jesus? How will it look today?

There are a few other things going on around the Park that we want you to know about:

Serving the Servants on 2.9.13: At the Park we believe that faith must be put into action. One way this shows up is by serving our city. Brandon Griffin is a local fire fighter and emergency responder and has a big heart for the police, fire, rescue, and hospital communities. His model is simple: bake or buy delicious food and take it to those who serve us every day.
This month, our plan is to hit the Downtown Baptist ER with some goodies to show one of the busiest emergency rooms in our town a little love. We’ll meet at 10:30 at the park across the street from the hospital (Madison Square Park) and head over about 10:45. There is plenty of parking on the street outside the hospital, or over by the park. Hope to see you there! Contact Brandon at redgriff@hotmail.com

Galatians Teaching Series: This Sunday we will continue our study of Paul’s letter to the churches in Galatia. One way to get more out of Sunday mornings is to read ahead before coming. So read through Galatians 4 a couple of times and come ready to take some notes.

Galatians Community Groups: One of our core values at the Park is community. If you are looking to connect with other people one place to recommend to you would be one of our community groups. These groups are open to anyone and track with the Sunday sermons with regard to their bible study element. You can find our updated list of groups at www.theparksa.org and click on ‘Community Groups’.

Social Events @ The Park:

If you signed up for the Rodeo on February 12th, your tickets are in! See Amanda, Kaitlin, or Sarah on Sunday to get them or email them at connect@theparksa.org. It’s going to be a great event!
