Good morning!

I hope you have all had a great Christmas break and a Happy New Year! I wanted to remind you that we will be back in action this Sunday, January 6th at Huebner Elementary. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

As we head into a new year, it is always good to reflect on the prior 12 months and observe where we’ve been. Here are just a few thoughts (in no particular order):

  • We’ve studied through Jonah, Esther, Psalms, and Romans.
  • People have gotten married, been baptized, had babies (a lot if you haven’t noticed), and dedicated kids to God.
  • Our city has been impacted through the partnerships and efforts of Blueprint, Christian Assistance Ministry, Embassy of Hope, Serving the Servants, and Children’s Hunger Fund.
  • Internationally, we have seen and supported great work in places like Moldova, South Africa, Rwanda, and Ukraine.
  • We bought a bigger trailer.
  • We held our first ever Christmas Eve celebration at Blueprint Ministries to a packed house of friends and family.
  • More and more of you are volunteering in our Family Ministries and Worship teams than ever before.

All of that to say, 2012 was an incredible year at the Park. Thanks be to God!

Prodigal Son Teaching Series: For the first couple of Sundays in January we will be looking at the story of the prodigal son. It is an amazing story of rebellion, redemption and grace. You may be surprised by what you find as you study it. Read through this story found in Luke 15:11-32 as well as Prodigal God by Tim Keller for the sermon on January 6, 2013.

Staff Highlights:

At the Park, all of our staff people are bi-vocational and we want to support them in any way possible. So, we will be letting you know who these amazing people are and what they do. Help us spread the word on these folks!

Chad Humphrey is one of the worship leaders of the Park and also just launched his own fitness training business. He has lived what he teaches and everyone I know who works with Chad has seen results.

Why wait any longer? It’s always a great time to make a new fitness resolution. Check out Chad’s website here and get in shape people!
