Good morning!

We are excited to be hosting the Robbie Seay Band and Compassion International this Sunday at the Park. We found out they were hitting the road and looking for places to share their passion and ministry. We are very excited to worship with them and find out more about how each of us can be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the thousands of children around the world. Come with an expectant heart, ready to respond!

There are a few things happening around the Park that we want to make sure you are aware of:

Serving the Servants 10.13.12: Brandon Griffin is a local firefighter with a huge heart to serve San Antonio. If you have never been a part of an STS event, this would be a great one to jump in on. We will be serving the SAPD this month. All you have to do is bring some delicious food to donate to the station as a way to say thanks and share the love of God. Stay tuned for more details, but mark it on your calendars. Contact: Brandon @ redgriff@hotmail.com

Blueprint Project 10.20.12: Join us as we partner with Blueprint Ministries to show the love of God by repairing and rebuilding homes in some of the poorest areas of San Antonio. Participants need to be at Blueprint at 8am and work until 4:30 or longer, if needed. Sign up on Sundays or email Dwight at dwight@blueprintministry.com for more details. http://blueprintministry.com/

Baptisms 10.28.12: Join us on this Sunday afternoon as we celebrate baptisms at Jeff and Jana Galt’s home from 4-7pm. This is a great time of fellowship and food as well. If you have never been baptized and want to make this public profession of your faith, email Scott at scott@theparksa.org.

Volunteering on Sundays: As our community continues to grow, there are always needs with regard to volunteering on Sundays. We ask people for a once-a-month commitment to reinforce the fact that your primary ministry exists outside of Sunday mornings. If we all take one Sunday per month, we can keep that focus alive. Interested to jump in on Sundays in Family Ministries or Set-Up/Take-down? Email Scott at scott@theparksa.org.

Romans Teaching Series: As mentioned above, this Sunday we are hosting the Robbie Seay band and Compassion International. As a result, we are taking a one week break from our Romans study. However, check out Romans 8 for the following Sunday. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, consider reading chapter 8 several times before October 14th.

NEW!! Staff Highlight:

At the Park, all of our staff people are bi-vocational and we want to support them in any way possible. So, we will be letting you know who these amazing people are and what they do. Help us spread the word on these folks!

Matt Adler is one of the worship leaders of the Park and also runs his own music production business. Matt has worked with several artists in San Antonio and also has produced his own cd. He is extremely passionate, dedicated, and he really knows what he is doing! Many of you know Ryan Proudfoot. All of his work has been done by Matt and it is excellent!

If you are thinking of recording some music and would like to find out more about Matt’s work, email him at: mattadler@hotmail.com

Have a great weekend and we will see you at 10am at Huebner Elementary this Sunday!
