Good morning!

If you haven’t signed up for a School of Theology class, don’t wait any longer! See below for the link to sign-up. Our vision at the Park is to equip and send the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4). This takes place in several different environments, with the School of Theology being one of those. It’s really a great opportunity to take a further step in growth and discipleship. Grab a friend and sign up today for a class!

Back by popular demand, we are kicking off classes for our second semester of School of Theology. The classes will be on Monday evenings at 6:30pm starting on September 24th at the Jewish Community Center.

The purpose is to create an environment for in depth discussion, spirited debate, and skilled facilitation. The classes are six weeks in length, unless otherwise noted. We are fortunate to have some exceptional teachers @ The Park. Classes fill up fast! For the classes being offered this fall and to sign up go to:

Starting Point 9.21.12: This Sunday we will be doing Starting Point immediately after service in the Cafe. What is Starting Point? We do this meeting once a month and it is designed to be a time where you get to find out more about the Park; it’s history, vision, values, etc. It is also a time where you can come with questions and we hope to provide clarity. Most questions get answered through the material that we cover, but not always. So, whether you are new or have been coming for a while, I want to encourage you to join us right after service this Sunday, September 21st, for Starting Point. Questions? Email chris@theparksa.org

Romans Teaching SeriesThis Sunday we are continuing our study of the book of Romans. The focus for this week will be Romans 6. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, take a 5 minute break today and give it a read. We will see you Sunday.

Volunteering on Sundays: As our community continues to grow, there are always needs with regard to volunteering on Sundays. We ask people for a once-a-month commitment to reinforce the fact that your primary ministry exists outside of Sunday mornings. If we all take one Sunday per month, we can keep that focus alive. Interested to jump in on Sundays in Family Ministries or Set-Up/Take-down? Email Scott at scott@theparksa.org.

Book of Romans Community Groups in the Fall: We are excited to be studying the book of Romans this fall. We have launched several community groups that are tracking along with the sermons each week. The purpose behind a community group is to initiate relationships that process their faith in God through the scriptures, prayer, and fellowship. There are discussion questions provided online (under “Equip”) each week for your group to use. Contact Chris at chris@theparksa.org for more information.

NEW!! Staff Highlight:

At the Park, all of our staff people are bi-vocational and we want to support them in any way possible. So, we will be letting you know who these amazing people are and what they do. Help us spread the word on these folks!

Amy Cornwell is one of our Family Ministry coordinators of the Park. She has developed her own event and decorating business that has been featured on SA Living. She has recently started a new endeavor called Pearl’s Projects. The goal here is to inspire people to live a “simple”, sophisticated life.  Her hope is to provide ideas to help people be resourceful while still making things nice and elegant.

Have a great weekend and we will see you at 10am at Huebner Elementary this Sunday!
