If you haven’t noticed on Sundays, there are a lot of new faces around the Park. Being that one of our core values is community, I want to encourage you to meet a few new people each week. It’s a simple yet powerful act to introduce yourself to someone. It could be the start of something life-changing! This has definitely been the case in my life more than once. We’ve all been the “new” person at one point or another. I think we would all agree that there is nothing like that person who intentionally connected with you to make you feel less like the pink elephant in the room. Now it’s your turn!

Serve at Blueprint Ministries: From Sunday, July 15th to Thursday, July 19th there is an opportunity to help serve the dinner meal to the students who are here working with inner city families this summer. The time slot is from 5:30pm to 7:30pm each of those nights as well as popsicle deliveries on Tuesday and Thursday of that week from 1-3pm. Bible Study for Women: Jana Galt (jana.b.galt@gmail.com) is the San Antonio class administrator for Community Bible Study. This is a bible study for women that has more than 600 classes worldwide. There is a program through this bible study for all kids from infants through high school. This would be a great opportunity for women at the Park to connect with other women and grow in their study of God’s word. Volunteering on Sundays: As our community continues to grow, there are always needs with regard to volunteering on Sundays. We ask people for a once-a-month commitment to reinforce the fact that your primary ministry exists outside of Sunday mornings. If we all take one Sunday per month, we can keep that focus alive. Psalms Teaching Series: This Sunday we are continuing our study of a few Psalms. The focus for this week will be Psalm 51. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, take a 5 minute break today and give it a read. We will see you Sunday.
Serving the Servants: Mark it on your calendar: Saturday, July 28th. If you’ve never joined in on this project I highly encourage you to this month as the focus will be on a local hospital. Brandon Griffin has a great ministry in which our local police, fire/rescue, and hospitals are shown the love of God through simply bringing them some tasty treats and smiles to help push them through the day. Summer Psalms Community Groups: We are excited to study a few psalms this summer like we did last year. One new thing we will be doing is launching some community groups that will track along with the sermons each week. Currently existing groups can also participate in this study.
