Good morning! I hope you have had a great week.

We have been studying Esther for the past several weeks and the thing that has been going through my mind is how amazing the sovereignty of God truly is. He is active in every detail of our lives. The challenge for us is to trust in this vs. our own safety. I love it when Esther says, “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.” ~Esther 4:16

When going before the king, she knew that it could have dire consequences. Her decision to go is a great picture of trusting in His sovereignty vs. her own safety.

This Sunday, June 10th, will be our 2nd week at Huebner Elementary School (16311 Huebner Road  San Antonio, TX 78248). The service time is the same…10am. If you haven’t joined us in a while this would be a great time to reconnect!

Here are a few other things going on around the Park:

Children’s Hunger Fund service project:  This Sunday, June 10, we will be hearing from Steve Huerta who is the local coordinator for CHF. He will be outlining a project for us to be a part of called a Food Pak. It’s very simple: come to the Park and get a CHF box. Go to the grocery store during the week and put food in it. Bring it back to the Park the next Sunday. CHF will then deliver the food to families in San Antonio who desperately need it. For more on CHF go to: www.chfus.org

Serving the Servants – Police: Brandon Griffin is leading the charge in serving the people in SA who serve us every day. Whether it is Police, Fire & Rescue, or hospital nurses and dr’s, this is such a great way to share and show the love of God.
We will be bringing home-baked or store-bought goods on Saturday, June 16th to the North and Northwest Police substations. Whether it is brownies, chips and salsa, fruit, etc. they will love it. We hope you will join us!
We will meet at the Starbucks at Blanco & 1604 (the one next to Taco Cabana) at 10:00am and leave for the Police Stations at 10:30am.

Esther Teaching Series: We are moving through the story of how a Jewish girl became the Queen of Persia. It is a truly amazing and inspiring story of God’s redemptive story. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, check out Esther Chapters 9 & 10 for this Sunday.

Summer Teaching Series: The Psalms – We are excited to study a few psalms this summer like we did last year. One new thing we will be doing is launching some community groups that will track along with the sermons each week. Currently existing groups can also participate in this study. If your group would like the materials, or if you would like to host a new group for the summer, please email Chris at chris@theparksa.org.

Have a great weekend and we will see you at 10am at Huebner Elementary this Sunday!
