I hope everyone is enjoying this Friday!
Memorial Day weekend is upon us and I know everyone is excited about a little extra time off. We really do have amazing freedoms in our country and to all of those who have served or are currently serving in our armed forces I want to say thank you. Thank you for your service. We are all indebted to you.
It is our last Sunday at Oak Meadow. On June 3rd we will be moving to Huebner Elementary School. In several conversations with people I have mentioned the idea that being a church plant is one of the craziest rides you could be on. We have such an amazing collection of people and ideas. It never ceases to amaze me that we get to do life together. And then, just as soon as we seem to be getting comfortable in a certain thing or place, it’s time to change it up. Oak Meadow has been a great home for use over the past 16 months. At the same time, we are excited to be moving. Don’t get to comfy, things can change in the blink of an eye.
Have a great weekend and we will see you at Oak Meadow this Sunday!
Chris
Here are a few things going on around the Park:
We are moving! Please note that this Sunday, May 27th, will be our last at Oak Meadow Elementary. It has been a great space for us to meet but they are renovating this summer and so we are relocating. Our new home will be at Huebner Elementary. This school is less than 2 miles from Oak Meadow. The address for the school is 16311 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78248. We will see you there on June 3rd!
Lunch after Church: We hope you will join us for some great food and conversation at Willies (1604 & NW Military) after church on May 27th. It’s a great opportunity to meet a few new people!
Esther Teaching Series: We are moving through the story of how a Jewish girl became the Queen of Persia. It is a truly amazing and inspiring story of God’s redemptive story. A great way to get more out of Sunday is to read before coming. So, check out Esther Chapters 5 & 6 for this Sunday.
Summer Teaching Series: The Psalms – We are excited to study a few psalms this summer like we did last year. One new thing we will be doing is launching some community groups that will track along with the sermons each week. Currently existing groups can also participate in this study. If your group would like the materials, or if you would like to host a new group for the summer, please email Chris at chris@theparksa.org.
